Arena Roundup

Double the Action, Double the Horror The arenas are now introducing twice as many phases - up to 4! - of monstrous illusions for adventurers to fight. This debuted in arena 6, featuring a gauntlet of horrific foes. Some of the guild’s finest and most experienced proved ready, however - using powerful illusions to distract a medusa and its minions, a barrage of lightning javelins to take down a pack of werewolves and minotaur, or good old fashion brawling to take down a pack of flesh golems. Get ready for longer, more vicious fights!

Taking the Flight A real challenge was set for the adventurers in arena 3, where they had to fight a flight of four dragons! When their powerful breath weapons brought two of the warriors, it wasn’t looking good, but, it was the vampiric Sylvia’s time to shine - despite being beaten and battered she leaped into action, going from near true-death to in perfect health after having a taste of dragon blood. Her revitalization provided an opportunity for her to defend others, allowing the group’s cleric, Rosalie, to get everyone back into the action.

Fight Smarter, Not Oozier A group in arena 1 showed it didn’t matter how big your foes were, as long as you kept them away. Finding themselves surrounded by gelatinous cubes, the wizard Rozalin threw down a web, and the druid Kurana the area in spikes with a spike growth. Funneling their opponents through the spells, the group managed to avoid coming to any harm by staying one step ahead of their slow-moving adversaries.

Love Blooming on the Battlefield Finally, bonds between allies were strengthened in arena 5, where the aggressive tiefling Perseverance got in over her horns. After finishing off a red dragon that had nearly scorched her foes to ashes in the first phase, in the second she was overwhelmed by a pack of chokers that threatened to strangle her to death! Her sweetheart Kessa lept into action, putting the vicious creatures to sleep just in the nick of time. You know what they say about the couple that slays together!
