Shining a Light on Daask's Operations
A recent effort from the criminal gang Daask of pushing into Thronehold has been fought back by the Prismatic Guild, making the city safer for all.
With the weakening of the Prismatic Guild in the wake of the assassination of its leaders, the crime syndicate Daask moved into Thronehold, sensing new opportunity. ATranslated as "The Monster's Eye", Daask is based out of Droaam, and first appeared shortly after Droaam's founding, encroaching into Sharn. While they engaged in a wide variety of criminal activities, their most well known one is their most dangerous - the distribution of drugs, including their specialty, a drug known as Dragon's Blood. Supplied only by Daask, Dragon's Blood is a highly addictive substance that can enhance the magical capability of the user, but also cause their magics to go wildly out of control.
In response to Daask activity within Thronehold, the Prismatic Guild discovered the drug supply as being shipped in from Breland, and acted to disrupt the import of dragon's blood, as well as stepping in where the local guards were unable to - or unwilling, due to bribes.
The presence of Daask in Thronehold is believed to be run by, or highly connected to, an individual known as "The One", represented by a "1" in goblin script. Anyone with information on this figure should report to a guild captain immediately. Guild members are also encouraged be on high alert, as Daask had been keeping watch over the embassies of each nation, as well as Thronehold castle itself.
